nia has been delivering services to women, girls and children who have experienced domestic and sexual violence since 1975. The organisation has three main aims: to provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence; contributing to ending male violence against women and girls, and to inform and influence policy and public awareness.

nia is an approved member of Rape Crisis England and Wales, an umbrella organisation supporting Rape Crisis Centres across the country. Rape Crisis is completely independent of the government and the criminal justice system

We are seeking to recruit to the following post:

Job Title: Senior Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ELRC)
Ref: nia 005
Hours: Full time: 35 hours per week
Term: Funded until March 2022
Salary: £28,000- £30,500 (dependent on qualification & experience)

The Senior ISVA will, in partnership with other London sexual violence support services, provide pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for female survivors of sexual violence with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. Needs may include those relating to substance use, homelessness, immigration, leaving care, disability, age, mental health.

The Senior ISVA will support the ISVA Team Leader and ELRC Manager to develop, maintain and evaluate best practice relating to working with women who have experienced multiple disadvantages.
