nia is horrified to read the statement issued by Selma Taha, Director of Southall Black Sisters, and formerly Manager of Advocacy and Interim Director of Operations at nia.
The legal system is supposed to be built upon the principles of fair play and the equality of all under the law.
Black women must be able to rely on the law to protect their safety or hold their aggressors accountable, without fear of the weight of the legal system being used against them.
We stand in solidarity with Selma and her two friends.
